Looking After Guinea Pigs

It’s easy to acquire guinea pigs and turn them into pets but before you do, you need to make sure that they get the right care so they won’t die or worse, run away. They need daily care such as feeding and exercise. Some breeds, those that have longer hair, need to be groomed more often than others.
Your pet guinea pig, just like other small furry animals, will need a bedding. It can be old newspapers, hay or sawdust unless they are allergic to sawdust. Also, guinea pigs cannot live with rabbits because the latter tends to hurt the former.
Make it a point to supply your guinea pig with food that contains Vitamin C on a daily basis because they don’t have a strong immune system like other small furry animals such as rabbits. They can also eat fresh vegetables like carrots, broccoli or cabbage.
